My roommate wanted to take the student workers that he works with out to the shooting range. We were pretty tired by the early afternoon but we still had a lot of produce to go through. I suggested a shooting gallery with everything we have left. Then everyone would pick a gun and we would fire it all at the same time.

Combine it with my DIY Discovery Channel camera (aka Casio EX-F1) shooting at 300fps with the song Agnus Dei and we have something very entertaining/amusing.

In the end, the person sighted to be a gunman was actually someone on their way to airsoft or paintball.

The problem trying to get a good picture (with a high shutter speed) indoors is the horrid Fluorescent lighting. Ideally, I want a light source that see continuous. That can be provided by a halogen light source. Fluorescent lighting actually flickers but our eyes can not detect that. For best results, the sun works wonders.

As an example here is a recording at 210fps,

What comes after selling the car would be what kind of car to buy? Obviously, the car has to be a manual transmission. Not that I have anything against automatics, but manual transmissions are a lot more enjoyable to drive. I’m not too picky with either a rear wheel or front wheel drive car. Would be nice to switch to a rear-wheel drive car though to freshen things up. Do I go with petrol or diesel? That probably depends on the price points of the fuel, MPG, and cost of maintenance. I would diesel if the price point was right. The only issue with that is the lack of makers that make diesel engine for cars.

Also the kind of cars that are available in the US market. Currently a lot of the cars in the US market are pretty bland for my taste. Things might look up though.
- Ford Fiesta (hatchback), A compact sedan that currently isn’t available to the US market til 2010. It was showcased on Top Gear Season 12 Episode 6 in a “practical” road test involving driving through a mall and participating in a beach assault. There is a diesel version that does 70mpg highway, but the possibility for US sales is nil.
- Mazdaspeed3, or rather the hatchback mazda 3 that goes faster.
- Honda Fit Sport. Hey another hatchback! This falls in line with the Fiesta in terms of car size I think.
- Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Runs on diesel and EPA MPG is about 40mpg highway/31mpg town. The Jetta can definitely do over 50mpg.

And these are here for fun if I ever get rich.
- Ariel Atom, 0-60 in around 3ish seconds if you shift fast enough. Road legal but difficult to acquire since these are consisted kit cars and California has a small quota for registering kit cars.
- Caterham (any of them) - Another road legal kit car type.
- Pontiac G8 - Outperforms other cars within its price point by miles.

It is a camera designed for high-speed photography and high-speed videos.
